Mamuju, August 6, 2024 – The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Mamuju Regency successfully carried out the socialization and launch of the Desa Cinta Statistik (Beautiful Village) program in Bambu Village. This program aims to increase public awareness and knowledge regarding the importance of quality statistical data in development planning. The launch event was held in the Hall of the Mamuju Regent's Office, attended by various important parties, including the Regent of Mamuju, Dr. Hj. Sitti Sutinah Suhardi, SH., M.Si, and the Head of Bambu Village, Hartono.
The event began at 09.00 WITA with a warm welcome from the Head of BPS Mamuju Regency, Achmad Nasir, S.Si., M.M., who delivered a report on the importance of the Beautiful Village program in realizing more accurate and relevant data for regional development. In his remarks, he stated, "Beautiful Village is not just a program, but a real manifestation of our commitment to empowering the community to understand the importance of statistical data as a basis for targeted development planning."
The Regent of Mamuju, Dr. Hj. Sitti Sutinah Suhardi, SH., M.Si, also provided direction and full support for this program. In her speech, she emphasized, "We hope this program is useful, because any development must be based on data. Hopefully, Desa Bambu can be even better in terms of statistics after receiving assistance from BPS."
The series of events ended with the signing of a commitment by various parties involved, including the Village Government, Sub-district Government, Regency Government (Head of Government Division, PMD Service, Communication and Information Service, and Bappepan), Central Statistics Agency (Head of BPS Mamuju Regency), and the Regent of Mamuju. After that, the signing of the Beautiful Village charter by the Head of BPS Mamuju Regency and the Regent of Mamuju. All participants present, including officials, village officials, and community representatives, took a group photo session as a symbol of cooperation and joint commitment in realizing Desa Bambu as a Statistics-Loving Village.
