• Size rice harvest in 2020 amounted to 64.83 thousand hectares, increased by 2.25 thousand hectares or 3.59 percent compared to 2019 amounted to 62.58 thousand hectares.
• Production of rice in 2020 amounted to 345.05 thousand tons of milled rice (GKG), increased by 44.91 thousand tons or 14.96 percent compared to 2019 amounted to 300.14 thousand tons of paddy.
• If seen by subround, an increase in rice production in subround May to August and September to December 2020, respectively amounted to 21.19 thousand tons of GKG (21.87 percent) and 72.99 thousand tons of GKG (147.51 percent ) compared to 2019. the decrease occurred only in subround January-April, which amounted to 49.27 thousand tons of GKG (32.04 percent).
• If converted into rice for food consumption of the population, rice production in 2020 amounted to 197.15 thousand tons, increased by 25.66 thousand tons or 14.96 percent compared to 2019 amounted to 171.49 thousand tons.
• Potential subround rice production in January-April 2021 is estimated at 124.84 thousand tons of GKG, increased by 20.33 thousand tons or 19.45 percent compared to the same subround in 2020 amounted to 104.51 thousand tons of paddy.
